In the run-up to European Development Days (EDD) 2013, (the European forum on development, poverty eradication and sustainable development), the European Commission has launched the EDD 2013 Video Contest: "Young voices against poverty: What would you change?". Young people worldwide, from 13 to 24 years old, are invited to make their voices heard in the dialogue on addressing global poverty. They will have to make a short video (no more than 120 seconds) answering the following question: If you could have your say, how would you fight poverty?. Entrants will have to make video in one of the 5 official contest languages: English, French, German, Portuguese or Spanish, upload it on YouTube, and get friends to vote for it. Video entries not submitted in English, must be accompanied by a full video transcription in English. There will be four contest winners who will each receive an all-expenses trip to Brussels to attend European Development Days (26th-27th November 2013) and have their video screened and made available on the website. The winners will be determined by those videos attracting the highest number of votes on Facebook.

Deadline to submit videos: 1 November 2013.

All details can be found here: http://edd13.eudevdays.eu/stakeholders/video-contest

The contest will be added to the Eurodesk database.
